Regretfully, at this time Lydia’s House is unable to accept any furniture items except those listed below. Lydia’s House also does not accept used toys, books, clothing or sample-sized items. We ask that all previously used items be cleaned, operational, and need no repair. View the list of agencies that accept the items we cannot.
Household needs:
- Dish soap
- Vacuum cleaners
- 32 gallon plastic storage tubs with lids
- Kitchen can openers (new or gently used, hand and/or electric)
- Kitchen mops and buckets (rag style, no sponge style please)
- High efficiency laundry detergent
- Light bulbs (daylight or bright only) no soft white
- Mattress covers (zippered plastic) – twin or crib
- Cleaning products – Pinesol, Lysol, etc.
- 13 and 30 gallon trash cans and liners
- Toilet paper
- telephones with and without answering machines (if they are cordless please include new battery)
- Coffee Pots (gently used/or new)
- DTV boxes converter boxes
- TV/Antennas
- Kitchen towels and Kitchen Dish Washcloths
- Bath Linens (new only, neutral colors please)
Furniture:
- New twin mattresses and box springs (no head boards or frames)
- New Cribs – Must meet January 2011 safety requirements (no drop sides)
- Changing tables
Children’s needs:
- Children’s bedspreads and comforters (especially boys)
- Diapers ( sizes 4,5) Pullups-all sizes and for boys and girls
Birthday party supplies:
- Paper products, decorations and gift cards to Schnuck’s and Walmart for the purchase of cake/ice cream and gifts
Gift cards:
- Schnuck’s or Shop n Save
- Target or Walmart
- Home Depot or Lowe’s
