I am pleased to have been selected as the Interim Executive Director for Lydia’s House during this time of transition.  Along with all the staff, I pledge that we will continue to provide quality services to our special women.

My background has been working for children.  I have done this via Easter Seals, Girl Scouts and a residential environmental education center.  My over 35 years of management experience includes 22 years as an executive director in various parts of the United States including St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Philadelphia and Lake Geneva, WI.

I look forward to working with all the dedicated staff, board and all other volunteers and hope to meet all of you soon.

Marcia

What a weekend! Lydia’s House took part in the 51st Annual Green Tree Festival in Kirkwood. Our Volunteer Ambassadors were out in force – selling our handmade Lucinda Pins and raising awareness about domestic violence. Sandwiched among delicious food vendors, the LH booth was humming with visitors on Saturday. The Lucinda Pins proved a real draw among the crowd – attracting interest from young kids to seasoned fair-goers. Ambassadors used every interaction to speak about Lydia’s House and how critical it is to achieve our mission. They handed out brochures and even heard a few stories from the visitors themselves.

The Green Tree Festival event was a success for Lydia’s House. Big Shout Out to our Ambassadors who worked the event and brought us one step closer to ending domestic violence, Marge, Sue, and Celeste (who rocked the event during Sunday’s rain!)! Thanks so much, Ladies!
