We are gearing up for our Children’s Summer Program at Lydia’s House! Every summer, Lydia’s House plans great group activities for the children in residence. Many of the children we serve have never had the opportunity for a “normal” summer. They don’t know what it’s like to go to the Zoo or the Science Center. They have never been to a pool or on a picnic in the park. At Lydia’s House, we strive to provide these normal childhood experiences for the first time, and we can’t do it without you!

For only $35.00, you can send 35 kids to the pool for a day!
For only $10.00, you can send one kid to a special day at the zoo, including the Safari Pass which gives access to the Train, the Children’s Zoo, and the Carousel.
For only $8.00, you can send one kid to the Magic House for a day, including a special treat!
For only $5.00, you can send one kid to Aquaport for a day!

A Night for Hope and Healing – A Success!

On behalf of the women and children of Lydia’s House, thank you for your participation in the 2012 A Night for Hope and Healing. With nearly 250 people in attendance, we raised more than $110,000 from sponsorships, individual donations, ticket sales, auction item purchases, the Dutch Auction, wine bags, and pin sales. Thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters for making the evening such a success.

Lydia’s House Welcomes Interim Executive Director, Marcia Barber

I am pleased to have been selected as the Interim Executive Director for Lydia’s House during this time of transition. Along with all the staff, I pledge that we will continue to provide quality services to our special women.

My background has been working for children. I have done this via Easter Seals, Girl Scouts and a residential environmental education center. My over 35 years of management experience includes 22 years as an executive director in various parts of the United States including St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Philadelphia and Lake Geneva, WI.

I look forward to working with all the dedicated staff, board and all other volunteers and hope to meet all of you soon.
